Position: Strategic Development Officer
About the Role:
As a Strategic Development Officer, you will play a key role in strengthening the organisation’s sustainability, growth, and impact by supporting strategic planning, resource mobilisation, partnerships, and organisational development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic fundraising and donor engagement efforts
• Build and nurture partnerships with arts organisations, sponsors, and collaborators
• Contribute to organisational development and long-term planning
• Support TATM’s mission of elevating African theatre narratives
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Arts Management, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field
Minimum 2–3 years experience in strategic development or fundraising (preferably for arts/cultural organisations)
Excellent communication and writing skills
Strong organisational, analytical, and relationship-building skills
Passion for African theatre, media, and cultural development
Preferred Skills (not required but beneficial):
• Experience with digital media platforms and editorial strategies
• Knowledge of the creative industries ecosystem in Africa
