After a long wait for the Ebola outbreak, Uganda Film Festival 2026 activities have resumed today with a masterclass/workshop for casting & auditioning.
I was privileged to serve as a facilitator, alongside two formidable ladies. My partners in the casting directing practice, Sharon Gayita and Justine Nantongo.
There’s a lot of learning which happened the whole day. Many attendees admitted that many things shared were mind opening about how they will handle their next auditions. Some even asked themselves, “What exactly have I been doing in the audition rooms all along?”
Special thanks to Uganda Communications Commission for having this special opportunity for actors under Uganda Film Festival.
Tomorrow we hit the same venue for the Screen Actors’ Guild meeting.
