While teaching at Nachitipwili village in 2003, I was in a relationship with a woman from Matontho village.
One day, she visited me at my residence, but unfortunately, the villagers saw us together and informed her parents, which I was unaware of at the time.
Due to heavy rainfall, she had to stay with me until the rain stopped. At around 5:00 PM, I walked her home, only to discover that her parents had banished her.
I was taken aback by the news and felt powerless. The villagers, including women, got involved, and I was left feeling bewildered.
In the end, I agreed to marry her. That’s the story of how I got married.
