This is still the wildest plot twist I’ve ever had to witness in a story. If a movie series/film is this good, then the book from which it is adapted must be a gripping read – and for that, much respect to Alice Feeney.
I swore from the start that Anna was the problem. She looked like she had a motive. I believed she loathed her estranged husband so much that he wanted him locked up. When the detective under Jack pointed it out, I knew the series was about to come to an end because that was definitely solved. The only thing I hoped to see at the end was what it is that Jack had done that Anna chose to plant him as the killer.
Rachel’s husband, though, seemed to have his hands dirty so I would have wanted to know who it was he was having side conversations with about the case – because it doesn’t look like he had any relationship with mother Alice.
Also, why was Lexi Jones angry with Anna? The flashback proves Anna stood up for her, and Anna ended up being the victim.
I guess some of these gaps can only be answered by the people who read the book or Alice Feeney herself – and I’d like to hear it all.
