Dealing with social media for a stress-free life

In order to live a stress-free life, if you see a post on social media that infuriates you, rather than arguing and insulting the poster, it’s best you just scroll past it. If you feel like you must get on someone’s post and, instead of debating in a mature, sane person’s way, you’d rather insult the person, you need to be honest with yourself and realize that it’s not the post you have an issue with. It’s the issues in your life that are making you attack internet strangers that you need to deal with. The post was just a trigger.

The internet is filled with trolls and content creators who are looking to make a quick buck, so they put up rage-bait kind of posts to lure people like you into them. The more you comment, the more you give their post visibility. The more visibility they get, the more money they earn from Facebook. I’ve seen people who I always thought were war mongers, only for it to later dawn on me that they were only seeking to boost their earnings through increased reach. You’re always just a pawn in this game, and sadly, you fall for it each single time.

The ideal thing to do is deal with all issues that cause you anger and pain in your own life so that you’re not a target for rage-bait posts. You’ll never find truly fulfilled people going at it with internet strangers in the comment section.

Try it today. You’ll be much happier. It’s a beautiful day outside. Go walk in the grass and soak up some sun instead. You’ll feel much better afterwards.
