Hola,
You would probably be wondering why “cardio on a weekend’ for a title, well guess what…it’s one of those weekend specials. The type that you don’t get or do every month. Yes, that type of weekend. Besides, Rwanda recently celebrated NO-CAR DAY, and thinking of it got me in the kitchen mixing up a weekend special for y’all 😉 Let’s get right into it;

Flashback to the COVID lockdown period when moving was illegal, no cars on the streets. Flashforward, Rwanda is celebrating their annual NO-CAR DAY and my appetizer for this weekend special is the KAMPALA CYCLING DAY (Health is Wealth). It’s cardio on the weekend ha-ha. I hope those runners are scrubbed and chains greased up because its “pedal for the medal” time. Well, at least for your health’s sake.
Speaking of cardio, dancing is another wonderful form of cardio workouts (for instance, Zumba). For my next wink on this weekend special involves a musical art form that in one way or another will keep you on your feet. This musical art form has delivered legends like LUCKY DUBE and BOB MARLEY. Peeps…it’s a Reggae outdoor experience at the TAKS CENTRE, Gulu. It’s an experience worth having in one of Uganda’s prestigious cities- GULU CITY. Y’all know the drill; THE VIBE IS ON!! 😉

Last but not least on the weekend special, another form of cardio workouts is just a simple hike. Walking distances and climbing combined keeps the heart muscles in check, as well as good for burning calories. OUTDOORSY has yet another excursion for y’all that are into hiking or just love a good hike to take in the beautiful blessings mother nature has bestowed upon us. Come 1st March, 2026, OUTDOORSY has prepped up a 9km hike in MPANGA with an elevation of 1.011m. Woof…I already feel the calories burning out reading that.

Ladies and gentlemen, reason for this weekend special is to remind us that we can still do fun things while working on our health. It is a special dedication to healthy living; eating right, sleeping right, dancing right 🙂 All in all, an easy cardio workout never hurt nobody.
Until next time, I remain…
Yours truly,
–ThiWordknight–
