Late last year, the luo sensational hiphop rapper Judas Rapknowledge shared online a joke that insinuated falling in love with Hon. Lillian Aber, the Member of Parliament (MP) and State Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees Affairs in the Office of the Prime Minister.
In Judas’ post, he insinuated that he would like to emulate fellow Musician Eddy Kenzo, the President and Founder ofUganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) and boss of Big Talent Entertainment who is married to the beauty queen of West Nile, the National Female Youth Member of Parliament and Minister of State for Minerals in the Ministry of Energy and Minerals Development.
By public diagnosis, and I am not sexualizing my leaders; both distinguished leaders are exclusively beautiful.
The similarities in this comparison not withstanding, made for a good joke during the recently concluded national campaigns.
Recently, Hon. Lillian detested the joke after a content creator created an artistic impression of musician Judas and Politician Hon. Lillian seated side by side using A.I technology.
Hon. Lillian urged her followers to tone down on the jokes and A.I generated images/videos involving her personality and musician Judas; to focus their conversation to issues that build their community.
While I appreciate her kind demeanour and respectful context of her post; her inclusion of meeting Judas only once at Kaunda Grounds and that she doesn’t even have musician Judas’ number poked three questions to mind.
In this post, I will address myself to these three core questions:
Did the Honourable Minister Lillian have to reply in post to the jokes by online geeks in defence of her personality?
What if Hon. Lillian had had Judas’ number as a celebrity artiste? And they had previously met in past political campaign shows, would it cease being a joke?
What exactly is bothering the Honourable Minister Lillian about her personality in the joke?

If musician Bosmic Otim joked that he was in love with respectfully, Hon. Mego Betty Aol, would it require a post to denounce it to prove that her personality is in question?
Unless, there is a “thing of a past” that could implicate her making the joke believable. I suppose there would be no need.
The joke would still remain a joke unless it was a prank to pull musician Judas on a “wild goose chase in pursuit of love”
On whether Hon. Lillian previously had Judas’ number and had ever met, I get the impression, the Hon. Minister Lillian could be answering an unasked question.
If asked, who is this person querrying whether they have ever met and if she had Judas’ telephone number?
As a celebrity artiste, I am sure there are as many wives as single ladies who have met Judas and have his number, and this does not in anyway confirm their intimate feelings for Judas.
On the question of what exactly is bothering the Honourable Minister Lillian on her personality with the joke?
My curious mind is querrying the logic in this statement, one wonders, would Hon. Lillian disassociate with a celebrity, Judas with such a post at the peak of an election season?
If not, what does it say of her referenced personality?
Reputable American Storyteller and Novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald once said, “Personality is an unbroken series of successfull gestures.” In this context, what gestures or insinuation is the Hon. Minister Lillian trying to protect so that it’s not broken?
As I conclude, I will rhetorically ask again; what if the Honourable Minister Lillian had not replied to the A.I generated joke?
Is our Honourable Minister Lillian too serious to tolerate jokes with electorates after elections?
To my young brother and celebrity Judas, if the recent election theatricals on stage are anything to go by; then I am of the opinion, you owe no one an apology.
The Honourable Minister Lillian could as well still be joking, this is a prank to imply politicians forget how to joke when elections are done.
In the event that you were not joking; I choose to remind you that neither your mother nor our modern Aunties will ever put you down to train you on how to sweet-talk a lady who detests you.
The pun is part of the thrill of pursuit. The heart knows what it likes. Our tongue is just a messenger of our hearts.
And to my Minister and Honourable MP, I once learnt from my unsuccessful political escapades that we can’t answer everything online.
Afterall, not all bad jokes are bad for our visibility. Goodluck in your next term in the people’s office.
