My Mother’s Resilience Is My Greatest Asset

Growing up, I couldn’t see the depth of my mother’s heart through the lens of my own childhood needs and desires, but becoming a mother to my own three children shattered that narrative.

I’ve realized that a mother’s love isn’t always a polished masterpiece; sometimes it is an imperfect, broken, inherited love. It is a love offered by a woman navigating her own healing and life’s relentless challenges while giving every ounce of herself to her children.

Today, I don’t just see a mother, I see a cycle-breaker who gave her all while carrying weight I never knew existed. To every parent balancing the weight of the past while building a future for the next generation, your love is seen. It is powerful. And it is enough.

To my mother, thank you for amalgamating a character in me that stands firm. You didn’t just raise a daughter, you cultivated the woman and mother I am proud to be today. Because of you, I carry a resilient spirit into every room I enter.

Beyond raising me, you shielded me in prayer and protection. Thank you for being my constant covering and for the unwavering faith that refused to give up on me. My strength is a reflection of yours. I am because you are.

Happy Mother’s Day
