Husbands

Husbands,

Remember the things we have done,

And yet they still call us Hun.

Remember how much they have given,

For the little we have offered in return.

Husbands,

Must we not wake each day

With love in one hand,

Understanding and forgiveness in the other?

Perhaps it is no mistake

That wife so closely rhymes with life.
