DAY THREE OF EMBU IFCA 2026

Yesterday was the 3rd day of the Embu International Film & Creative Arts Festival in Kenya and it was the warmest weather since we got here.

On the program were good sessions which were mind opening, informative and engaging for the attendees.

We started with watching the Kenyan film ‘INSIDE JOB’ followed by a conversation with @mahinda_joe, producer of the film, and he shared about producing. Moderated by Wanjiru Mugo

Then we screened the award-winning Ugandan film ‘STAIN’ by @morrismugisha and then @soledad_ronah Ninsiima had a Q&A with the audience. Many attendees had not watched any Ugandan film and they were impressed by the way Stain was made plus how it showcased the natural beauty of Kasese, Uganda.

Then came a masterclass by Kenya photographer/cinematographer @michaelkanari It was such a philosophical present about a creative’s passion and how it aligns a lot with much of the work we do.

Finally had animator Livaisia Ernest talk about the animation world and plans by the Kenyan animation association. He encouraged creatives to avoid getting high/too addicted on their own work because it hinders progress. Session moderated by @kizitosamuelsaviour
