I think before you jump into a woman’s DMs to propose anything to them, you have got to know what kind of person they are and try to imagine how they will react to your suggestions. This can be done, for example, by going through their profile. Do they look like the faithful kind, or are they the flirtatious kind? What seem to be their boundaries? Do they appear to tolerate nonsense, or do they absolutely detest it and do not partake in any of it? What are their values? What’s their stand on society and its impositions? How do they choose to live their life? I would imagine that any sane person would carry out this simple research before taking that bold step to message someone.
But is it something that men do? Rarely. They just go barging from one inbox to another, busy bothering women.
Because if you know me and have followed me for a while now, why the heck would you ask me out for a beer? Do I look like the kind who can’t buy myself one if I needed it? I prefer my wine! Because, guess what? It doesn’t give me a headache from hell’s pits the next day! And then you don’t stop there; you want to disrespect my family too, the only people in the world that I would lay down and die for willingly, with absolutely no coercion from anyone.
How are you going to assure me that some of your nuts aren’t loose if you do this? How?
Listen, I hate dealing with any kind of simpletons. I’d much rather stay locked up in my house and have no interactions with anybody than engage with a simple mind. They disgust me because nothing sensible ever comes out of their mouths, and, hey, we’re not 20 anymore. I know I’m not.
I’m going to be a grandma in a few years, and you won’t find me doing the same things I did at 20! I’ve grown so much over the years, and in that time, I’ve done so much work within and outside of myself that I cannot tolerate anything or anybody who seeks to undo the progress that took me several years to achieve.
During my self-growth journey, I’ve managed to drop several bad habits that somehow the majority of society nowadays makes people think are okay. Right now, we live in a society where even old people spin the wildest of tales. I’m not that kind. I pride myself on my honesty, and I carry that virtue with me in both my personal and business life. So, dealing with pathological liars, manipulators, and hypocrites is something I’m not going to do. And this is not being sanctimonious because I err every now and then, like everybody else, but never intentionally, as I seek to harm nobody. I just seek to live peacefully and harmoniously with myself and those around me.
Then someone is going to come along and say, ‘Oh, but all women are there to be hit on by men.’ Yes, you’re right, the women who want and welcome it, the women that you know in your own life. It’s just simply not me. Quite honestly, I’m repulsed by people who add nothing to me. In terms of relationships, I already have what I need. In terms of money, I already know how to make that myself. So, what exactly are you going to offer me that makes you feel entitled to my time?
I only entertain messages in my DMs from those who need cake and get straight to the point when they message. If you have a brunch, lunch, or dinner and want to invite me and mine, I welcome that too. If I have time, I’ll definitely fix it in my schedule. You want to invite me and mine for travel, all expenses paid? I’ll pack my bags and fit it into my schedule before you complete the sentence. These are things that I do for friends and with absolutely no strings attached, so I also have no qualms if another decides to extend the same offer to me.
But inviting me for beer? Honey, I’ll never show up.
Also when I go out, its either I go big, or I go home. I have no in between because I love everything lavish. The big bill that the waiter presents, shouldn’t surprise you. Comprendé?
