UGANDAN ACTRESS SALLY ELIZABETH BWAMIMPEKE IS DEAD

So I went offline earlier last night and this morning I woke up to so many messages in my inbox of “Is it true?” “What happened to her?” “Have you heard?”. Every Filmmakers WhatsApp group was filled with “RIP” responses. And then I saw a message that devastated me and broke my heart.

“Hey Benda, news coming in from Canada is that this lady who was an actress has passed away in a hospital in Canada. She had been battling breast cancer. Just thought u should know.”

I trembled as I typed this post.

Sally Elizabeth Bwamimpeke. One of the most gifted female performers I have interacted with and worked with. She was a jolly good fella. She had positive vibes every time we bumped into each other. It’s a shock and saddening that you are gone Sally.

I know you put up a very good fight until the last moment.

Thank you for sharing your talent on TV, radio and stage. Your characters will live on.

I am yet to find out details which I will share.
