#MuwadoLoveLetter22 Challenge Winners

Hello Netizens

The #MuwadoLoveLetter22 Challenge, where Muwado members have been submitting love letters since 7th February stopped accepting submissions on Friday 25th February. Our judging panel has been busy going through the submissions and are now done deliberating.

Today, we are happy to present the winners. Scoring was done using post virality (views, shares, upvote/downvote score, number of comments) and quality of the submissions (typos, grammar, creativity)

So, without further ado, here are the winners of the #MuwadoLoveLetter22 Challenge….

1. THEY MET ON A MOVIE SET by Maniple Denzel

Denzel wins himself UGX 500,000 for his storytelling prowess. Mans took us on a fly-on-the-wall journey with the couple that features and didn’t slow down at any moment. The panel unanimously agreed he is a gifted writer and we can’t wait to see more from him. We shall reach out to wire your newfound wealth.

Unfortunately, we could only reward the top submission unlike the previous version of the challenge. Still, we would like to appreciate the other two outstanding submissions that wowed the panel and reading public.

2. Different by Ronnie ALINDA

The judging panel was particularly moved by the sincerity and self-awareness in this raw piece from Ronnie Alinda. If only more people entered relationships with this level of sincerity. More power to you Alinda.

3. Love letter to myself: Dear self, you’re your own kind of beautiful by Poetryfromtheart

Self-love, what’s to hate. Poetryfromtheart, first, your username got some nods of appreciation from our panel. Then the message from your submission is one we believe everyone should practice religiously. Keep on preaching!!

Honourable Mention. My Resilient Pet. by Denise Nabulumba

We know we were all mushy and in the feels when putting out the call to celebrate love in this challenge but we are also realistic enough to recognise that love fades. And for the most part, the endings tend not to be happy situations. This gets the honourable mention because gatdayum, the eloquent shade and apt dedication to what sounds like the worst ex on earth. Thank you for submitting Denise and your prose is just wonderful.

Even if you didn’t win, we appreciate you publicly expressing your feelings and we shall be doing this again next year so there’s still hope for you to win.
