Step 2: Find the Gift button
At the bottom of the story, you will see a gift or appreciation prompt. Click it to open the gifting options.
Step 3: Choose your gift type
One-off gift
Send any amount from $1 as a single, immediate payment. Good for when a particular story hits differently.
Monthly gift

Step 4: Choose your payment method
- Mobile money — MTN, Airtel, or your local provider
- Card — debit or credit
- Pesapal
Step 5: Confirm and done
Your gift goes straight to the storyteller’s Muwado dashboard. They get notified immediately. No middleman taking a cut — your appreciation lands directly with the person who earned it.
Why gift?
Every storyteller on Muwado chose to share their experience, their vulnerability, their perspective — for free. A gift is a direct way of saying this mattered. And it keeps African storytelling alive.
Did this story move you? Every gift goes directly to Muwado Community Management — writers on Muwado earn from reader appreciation, not algorithms. Even $1 makes a difference.
