Fluking a marriage proposal

Towards the end of the year, the plan was to bring you people tea but it poured on the way. One resolve I came with this year though is that we should mind our business.

I was hanging out with a friend when suddenly the staff of the spot we were at started pumping balloons. At some point they debated whether the heart they shaped out with petals, “was heart enough”.

Little did we know that our cosy space was going to be the altar of the evening. When we were informed, the plan in my head was to just go home but my friend asked what story we would go away with if we didn’t see the proposer and the proposee.

I sat tight. It got cold for me. We sent for coffee and she asked for tea. We shifted to a perfect spot where we would see everything. They had said everything would happen at 5:30pm. It was just a few minutes. We sat.It was 8pm and their audience seemed to have grown tired. They started ordering food, one by one. Also us, the uninvited guests were growing impatient.

Finally at around 8:45pm. We saw them converging in the cozy spot. Finally, our long awaited guests were here!

For some time, we debated about who the groom could be – amongst those who were already present.

Tell me why the propser and the proposee came hand in hand. The proposee was later on taken on the side by one of the ladies around and then they walked back with the rest of their audience cheering on.

I’ve never been so offended over things that I shouldn’t even be part of.
