So Ava Peace went to Nessim and recorded a song. She then contacted a guy to do background vocals for the song, and he agreed. Then Sheebah went to the studio and recorded the same song and still called the same guy to do background vocals; he came and did what he had to do.
How the same background vocalist did the same job for the same song for two different artists but didn’t tell a soul about it is surprising.
However, if you have followed Ugandan music, you will know that it thrives in chaos.
One of the two artists in this saga knew the other was planning to release the song or had bought the song and too decided to either pay more or record the song for drama purposes… Our local loves chaos; someone always benefits.
In the 2000s, chaos was towards Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine, brought to us by Chameleone; then there was chaos towards everyone brought to us by Radio and Weasel.
Now, we have chaos brewing between Sheebah and Ava Peace……. We are not sure who’s sponsoring the chaos this time.
But what do most of these artists have in common?
