Who is Kenya Airways greatest competitor?

Penning my Journal, just a thought about life, there were two friends out camping in the Ruma National Park and they saw a hungry leopard heading for their campsite.

As one guy began to put on his running shoes the other one asked him why he is bothering to do so?

He silently thought to himself, there is no way he is going to outrun the leopard, even if he wears running shoes.

The second guy replied,

“Am not planning to outrun the leopard, I just have to outrun you. Even without running shoes I can still do that!

The other guy hadn’t woken up to this fatal reality.

Our aim in life should never be about outrunning the leopard, you will never do it even if you tried but rather to be “strategic” so that you don’t become the victim.

Do we know our real competitors, I ask? Interestingly, we often don’t & more often it is “within”. Watch out the people you perceive as friends.

That’s why in our goals, we must first always endeavor to be stronger than the weakest & actually have a plan. Do we do that?

I wonder why KQ today has not yet figured how to outrun Ethiopian Airlines just the way retired veterans did in 2007, and we weren’t the leopard’s dinner the way KQ is today.

Thereafter, ET studied KQ strategy & beat it in its game. With strategy, even without running shoes you can still beat your foe.

If there’s one thing KQ has been missing, it’s strategic leadership. All its issues are superficial, created by its own befuddling against self.

The recent article by the Standard of its employees stealing aircraft spare parts from its 11 grounded planes points to a company that needs surgery, & offload its rotten apples.

Its competitors are making cheese mincemeat burgers from its goofs.
