I was deep in thought, mapping out my next move, when my phone buzzed. It was a client I ghostwrite for. He had a plot for me, a marketing and a sales strategy that needed an immediate rewrite after a board meeting. Sound familiar? Last-minute pivots are the norm.
Then it hit me. Earlier on I was scrolling through my feed, I saw two camps: those already celebrating 2025 wins and those lamenting missed goals. And here’s the kicker: it’s only November, and corporations are already architecting their 2026 blueprints. Meanwhile, many of us are still planning to set our goals in January. The gap is staggering.
This was my wake-up call and should be yours as well. My long-envisioned training curriculum can’t wait for a New Year’s resolution because am already setting the pace for 2026. The lessons from my own business—navigating sales dips and strategy shifts—are too valuable. The future doesn’t wait for a convenient start date.
This Friday, let’s not just wind down. Let’s carve out one hour. Celebrate this week’s win, no matter how small. Then, draft the first page of your 2026 story. The early thinkers are already ten steps ahead am thinking out loud.
