Lira Kreativ Kave is pleased to announce an official Call for Poets for the Lira Youth Poetry Slam 2025, taking place on Sunday, 14th December 2025 at Café Sterling, Lira City* (2:00 PM) under the theme “Who Are You?”.

We invite emerging and established poets, spoken word artists, and performers aged 16–30 to submit their interest in participating in this year’s slam. The event aims to spotlight powerful voices, encourage artistic expression, and strengthen the growing creative community in Northern Uganda.

ELIGIBILITY

• Open to poets aged 16–30

• Original work only

• One performance piece (maximum 3 minutes)

• Poem must align with the event theme: “Who Are You?”

WHAT TO EXPECT

• A pre-event Poetry Workshop

• A one-round slam competition

• Open mic for non-competitive performers

• Acoustic music performances

• Mini book market & networking with creatives

• Special Guest Appearances.
