The 5 books from the list I’ve listened to that I wouldn’t miss if they disappeared from my library:
1. I Will Teach You to Be Rich by Ramit Sethi.
It’s not a bad book, but I felt like it’s written for an American audience because most of the examples and lingo are easier to understand if you’re familiar with the American banking and finance system.
2. Purple Cow by Seth Godin.
Didn’t find this very relatable either, as a small business owner. Also quite old and I feel like it needs to be updated with newer examples.
3. How to Start a Cult by Jody Raynsford.
This is more of a marketing book, kind of like “Belonging to The Brand.” The title is hyperbolic but the content is mostly trite, nothing novel.
4. The 12 Week Year by Brian P. Moran, Michael Lennington.
After listening to 5 AM Club, 12 Week Year felt kinda repetitive. When you also consider Buy Back Your Time, there was little to discover here.
5. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck* by Mark Manson.
This book didn’t add nothing on me. I can’t point at anything I learnt from it.
