MUWADO WEBSITE – PAYMENT POLICY
This payment policy is approved on 01 March 2024 by the Website administrator. It will be revised and updated periodically by the Website Administrator. Subsequent changes made to the policy shall be communicated to the users.
1.0 Overview
By using our Services, you agree to be bound by the terms of any third-party payment processor associated with the Platform. Our payment processor is Flutterwave. Please read the privacy policy of Flutterwave before creating an account with us or making a payment.
Every Creator’s account has a dashboard that tracks the revenue earned from the website.
In case you are required to withdraw your earnings, you are required to submit a request through your account by the 13th day of each month; payment will be processed by the 20th day of the same month. Any request submitted after the 13th day of the month will be processed by the 20th day of the following month.
The time/date of receipt of payment by a creator may vary depending on the time lag for processing payment orders through various payment channels.
All revenue tracking and payments will be made using the United States Dollars (USD) currency subject to the daily URA (Uganda Revenue Authority) income tax exchange rates that are published on the URA portal.
Our payment processor, Flutterwave, shall take a record of the following data concerning a person who uses the “Gifting feature” to make payments to a Content Creator:
- The name
- Phone/ Email Contact
- Amount paid.
A creator shall be notified of only the amount, story gifted for, and name of the person that gifted.
Before the first withdrawal, a Content creator will be required to provide documents of identity such as a national ID, Passport and, Driving Permit. The creator is obliged to update Muwado in case of any change.
2.0 Commission
A net 10% commission is due to Muwado on all revenues earned by a Content creator from the use of the Platform.
The revenue is also subject to transaction processing fees of the payment processor (Flutterwave).

We reserve the right to adjust our commission.
3.0 Taxes
Muwado is a separate entity from its users.
Each party shall bear their own taxes.
4.0 Deductions for Violation of User Policies
Where a Content creator violates any of Muwado’s policies, his/her account will be suspended along with the benefit of receiving & withdrawing gifts.
All sanctions shall be applied at the discretion of the website administrator.
Upon conclusion of the investigations on policy violation, the sanctions shall be vacated.
5.0 Confirmation and Acceptance of the Policy
By signing up as a content creator on the Muwado website, you thereby confirm your understanding and agreement to the terms of the payment policy.
