You can be nice and sincerely wrong.

Over the years, I have had sincerely nice friends, but who had questionable values.

I have had nice friends who do not pay back the money that they owe.

I have had nice friends who bore the strangest ideologies, philosophies and -isms. Things that, if you anchored your life on, would definitely destroy you.

I have had nice friends who found living within certain boundaries burdensome.

I have had nice friends who are sly and manipulative, and will take advantage of you at the slightest chance they will get.

I have had nice friends with whom the most difficult thing to be was myself, because they felt that I was being “too much” with my Christian walk.

I have had nice friends who were plain wizards. Literally. high-level-talk-to-spirits practitioners of witchcraft. They were nice, though. Nicer than me, even.

So, what am I saying? Values. Check for values. Also, not all values are equal. Some values are more important than others.

Like, for me, if you do not eat pork… kidding…but you get the point.
