It was five days into the New Year and I was still seated, looking at my year planner which was yearning for me to write my plans, dreams and goals for the year. But my mind was wondering if actually this year I really wanted to jot down those plans or leave a blank page. What was the wise decision to make?
Then I heard this voice that kept telling me, you canāt lose HOPE. That hope that has given you the strength for each day. Itās just a word, yet so powerful.
We live in a world where we are all not sure what tomorrow brings. If we will even make it to the next day. If the chances we take are worth it. Yet, we still make those plans.
2020 taught many of us that tomorrow is not granted, we have no control over our lives. What we own is not what gives us joy or satisfaction, but everything we do, plan, and desire is based on HOPE.
So today let Jeremiah 29:11 speak to you and me –
Be reminded that he alone has the plans for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us. Plans to give us a hope and a future.
And you know what, that is the scripture I am standing on this year.
Happy New Year Friends.
