A weekend twist normally happens when both indoor and outdoor events are going down and, they all carry an almost similar level of audience magnitude. Picture this; you’re in a restaurant and everything on the menu is worth a bite, you do not know what to pick thus eventually getting spoiled for choice. To be more explicit, let me break it down for you;
Uganda is not called “The Pearl of Africa” because of its geographic location or its unique name. The title hails from a range of factors like; abundance of natural resources, the tropical green touch of mother nature, friendly population and favourable market economy to mention a few. But let’s zero in on the “touch of mother nature”. Uganda’s display of mother nature has a way of making one want more. Case in point; the Sunny Outdoors is back with yet another thrilling hiking edition, and for those that would love to try out hiking, I would recommend this as your starting point. Owing to the fact that difficulty level is at Beginner friendly. 😉
Moving on, outdoor junkies are ticked as catered for and now for the indoor fanatics (here comes the twist). Some revellers prefer indoor events like live band performances, movie premiers or better yet, stand-up comedy shows. Everyone gets to pick their poison. The reason for calling this a weekend twist is because both type of events are tempting this weekend. I hope salary enters in time…Ha-ha. SHOOT YOUR SHOT third edition is here Ladies and Gentlemen. Headlining live music performances is the songbird herself NAAVA GREY, with the night holding other categoric performances such as spoken word poetry and stand-up comedy. Well, if you can’t hike, at least go get your ribs cracked at the WILD COFFEE BAR.
There are people who would opt for the outdoors for the weekend, some would opt for indoor type of entertainment while others would prefer to go somewhere; have a few drinks and listen to some good music. Well, if you’re the latter, worry less because we got you covered as well (Weekend twists). THE GARDENS has the right experience for you; headlining the event is a lawyer turned rapper (award winning) and also poet- Gitta Allan Keith aka SANTANA KARMA. Best known for hits like Sawa Ya Chupa, Kulya Kunywa and Alimba. Dear revellers, prep up those wallets; it’s the MBIKKO Experience.
It’s on rare occasions that “introvert”, “extrovert” and “ambivert” events are all catered for on the same weekend, more less on the same day. We like to call it the “LUNAR Eclipse” of events. A rare occurrence but one worth experiencing, and what other way to break in your salary than having a goodtime.
