The Teen Personal Development Journal

I’ve asked Gemini the importance of the “Baby on board” or “baby in car” stickers and it said that they serve primarily as a visual alert to other drivers about the presence of a young child in the vehicle, encouraging them to exercise extra caution and maintain a safe distance; and potentially prevent accidents by prompting more careful driving.

A former friend used to argue about this, stating that even adults need safety on the road, and I truly agree with him, but I guess the world, except the paedophiles and their monster cousins, cares more about children’s well-being than they would when it comes to an adult’s.

I’ve seen this in the last 19 months of Thrivease. Parents asked “what next?” as soon as they confirmed delivery. They remembered to ask about the adults’ options after figuring out the children’s; yet in all honesty, I had come purposefully for the adults. Children were just a ‘by the way” because parents asked. But I guess while I primarily had millennials in mind, it only makes sense that they need tools that make parenting easier.

For the last 14 months or so, I’ve been working on this toolkit for teenagers. It has been carefully designed with a psychiatrist, a bunch of teenagers, their instructors and other people on board. Everyone came from different angles, and to be honest, somewhere in November last year, I threatened someone that I was going to just throw the whole idea away. I was tired.

I took breaks. Mourned my original ideas like the name of the journal. Came back to execute the changes suggested. And now here we are.

The Teen Personal Development Journal is here coming to you in three covers you can choose from. The investment is UGX. 65K and Kshs. 2699.

NABU Network has also partnered with professionals to work out a 4-week workshop that will support your teen while they experience this ultimate life toolkit.
