**The Sun and the Moon**

The sun and the moon are lovers in the sky

They burn with passion, but they cannot lie

Together, for they are bound by fate

To rule over different realms of light and shade

The sun is like a fire, bright and warm

He gives life and energy to all who are born

He is the king of the day, the lord of the sky

He smiles with joy, but he often sighs

The moon is like ice, cool and calm

She soothes the souls of those who are harmed

She is the queen of the night, the lady of the stars

She glows with grace, but she hides her scars

They long for each other, but they know their place

They can only meet in a rare embrace

When the earth aligns between them, they kiss

And for a moment, they forget their bliss

But soon they must part, and resume their roles

They carry on their duties, but they feel the holes

In their hearts, that ache for each other’s touch

They love each other so much, but they can’t have much
