THE MELODIC SHEREHE

Hola,

What’s krackin folks?!

Hope y’all are good because if you aren’t, then we can only hope that the claws of the “respiratory outbreak” have not gotten a grip on you. To be precise; the rains are here and as such, it comes with an easy spread of cough and colds. So be safe out there. On a brighter note, this weekend is a melodic fiesta and the posters say it all;

Imagine having 17 Grammy awards, 33 GMA Dove awards, 24 Stellar awards, 7 NAACP Image awards and 3 Billboard Music awards to mention a few, under your name. Some would call this accomplished, but for Priscilla Marie Love this is just part of the career journey. Popularly known as Cece Winans, born October 8th, 1964, is one of the most awarded female gospel artists with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville. I hope y’all are ready to feel her melodic prowess on 28th.

“Monday…took her for a drink on Tuesday…making love by Wednesday, and on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and we chilled on Sunday”. I bet most of you still have it playing in your head right now…ha-ha. It’s CRAIG DAVID folks with the WORLD OF SOUNDS-Rhythm and Blues Edition. Famous for hit songs like Walking Away, 7 Days, Don’t Love You No More, Insomnia and Fill Me In, Craig David is an English Singer who has held his own in the entertainment industry, born Craig Ashley David in Southampton, Hampshire to a Caribbean father and an Anglo-Jewish mother. This maestro will be showcasing what he does best at Sheraton Hotel Gardens, Kampala.

Talking of hit wave maestros, let’s come closer home. Originally known as Mungi Emmanuel Matovu, is a celebrated Afropop rapper associated with Baboon Forest Entertainment and Swangz Avenue, and famously goes by the tag Mun G. Hits like Jira Tugire, Sejjusa, Follow my Rules, Sala Puleesa and Ontwala Speed to mention a few are some of the reasons his fans stay loyal to him and his craftmanship. If you’re a loyalist, then I do have a treat for you this Saturday; THE CHAMPIONS BALL.

There’s something magical about watching the sunset with a lake breeze, accompanied with a glass of whiskey or wine. Add this with a couple of good tunes, and you will have majority by the throat. Besides the vibe this breeds, it’s also a quick stress reliver and dopamine trigger. The conducive atmosphere does nothing but the best in regard to maintaining serenity. Ladies and Gents, for this particular event I choose to say less and hope that y’all would opt to give it a try; THE SUN MET yo. 😉

There’s something in the wind that blows from the East African coast inwards, and makes sure that it touches the whole East African community and that’s tranquillity. Regardless, of the political instability and economic frustrations in the region, East Africans will always be hospitable and do anything in their power to stay happy. Case in point; Ugandans will always embrace the party even if inflation has them holding their heads above the water. Thus, bringing me to my favourite inevitable conclusion, “NEVER POSTPONE HAPPINESS” 😉

Until next time, I remain…

Yours truly,
