Hola,
The longest public holiday (Easter) in every year is coming to an end, the four days of relaxing, family time, bonding and remembering who died for our sins (Praise God brethren). Unfortunately, this year it ends differently for the Roman Church, a moment of silence for the departed… (RIP Pope Francis). On a lighter note, I’m here to feed you your weekly bread as per usual;
I am certain that all of you if not most are familiar with the term “CLIMATE CHANGE” and its effects. Well Green Lens International has curated a unique experience based on climate action, conservation and sustainability. What makes it unique is the fact that every activity on the event’s roster is somewhat linked to climate and environment preservation. The Green Zone is a one-of-a-kind event that focuses on creating environmental and climatic awareness in a more fun way, especially for those who are not into science. <Yeah, I see you>
The future is GREEN, let’s go GREEN 😉
As we chant about keeping Mother Nature healthy, let me add some soup and blubber about keeping you healthy. KAMPALA CYCLING DAY is here to keep your cardiovascular muscles fit and in check. Someone told me that riding a bicycle helps stretch and tighten dispose tissues, I haven’t confirmed that, but I am definitely going to experiment come 25th. My mechanic will absolutely be excited to see my bicycle roll up in his shop, only because he will be eating my money after. Anyway, KCCA has the wheel on this, and we’re going to sweat it out.
Sweating by the way is a good thing for your body, all that salt and water coming out from your skin pores. Some call it a nasty experience, and yes, I have met “some”. Nevertheless, there are Ugandans who do not workout at all but excrete sweat in other ways like dancing. On that note, I would like someone to kindly help me inform Jameson (the whiskey brand) that some of their fan base needs some time for their pockets to recover accordingly. Banange…I’m ranting about the latest Jameson turn up, the JAMESON HANGOUT. Featuring industry shakers like Kenneth Mugabi, DJ Shawn and DJ Bugy the Jameson Hangout is here to give you the perfect excuse not to be at home. And oh, much as I am ranting about economic recovery I am still going to attend. 😉
After all, it is my job ha-ha.
After reading the previous statement, some of you are going to ask yourselves what I actually do for a living. Here’s a hint; DEATH IN FLESH, ETERNITY IN WORDS – Writer’s edition. The Creative Sunday networking meet is back and the pens are scribbling, keyboards tapping away and shoes being shined to match the “Sunday best” in the closet. Come feel the Holy Trinity in magical writing and plays from open-stage performances at the Kopa Kabana.
You know, I often wonder what drives some people to do what they do. Are they compelled by a spirit; good or bad, are they influenced by peers or do they do as their brains tell them to? I think I’ll need deeper research into the cosmic, spiritual, social and psychological influences. But before I take that path, I’ll need to first centre myself in the brain of a boda boda rider (motorcycle passenger carriers) for its these noble beings that have understood the science of smelling and beating traffic from a mile away. They will get you anywhere regardless of traffic (Hi SafeBoda). 🙂
Until next time, I’ll remain…
Yours truly,
–ThiWordknight–
