Most of the smartphones we buy today range between 300,000 UGX and above unless you are buying a second hand then you may have a higher chance of getting it cheaper, but that depends on the brand and who you are buying from.
I believe if I spend between 300,000 UGX or more to buy a smartphone, it shouldn’t be just for taking pictures and making calls only.

WhatsApp also has an option for status updates where people you connect with can view once you posted anything.
I personally have over 300 people who always view my WhatsApp status once I post anything. Now imagine if you are selling something, don’t you think you can convert a few of those people to buy your items/products? Don’t you think some of those people can be your potential customers?
As you think of earning money online using your smartphone, one of the biggest questions you should always ask is; how do I monetize this opportunity?
CREATE A BRAND FOR YOURSELF
One of the best ways to succeed is to create a unique brand for yourself and something people know you for. For example, if you sell clothes, be specific and let as many people as you can know that you sell clothes. By doing that, once you post any clothes on your WhatsApp status, no one will be surprised because they’d already known that you are into the clothes business. This will also make it easier for people to recommend your service to their friends and family because in mind they will be knowing that you are the person for clothes. Personally, I am a tech guy and I know a lot about phones, 70% of my status viewers somehow understand that I am into electronics so whenever they want it they always reach out.
