Back then when I was in high school, I really wanted to learn how to earn some money online, this is because I was so passionate about computers and the internet. I did a lot of research and spent a lot of time searching on the internet, but unfortunately, I couldn’t get the right answer. All the articles I was reading and the sites I was going to were scams.
One day, I came across an article talking about Google Adsense and how you can make money online by owning a website, this wasn’t easy at first because getting a website needs some money, because you have to pay for a domain name, web hosting, etc
I reached out to a few people but no one helped me. It was until I met one of the best digital guys Sean Onemarket who also doubles as a website developer.
He is actually one of the brainchild behind one of the biggest entertainment websites in Northern Uganda. I have a lot to say about him, but that will be in my next article. May God bless him and continue opening his way because of his good heart to help the young people, he is one of the genuine young people we have in Northern Uganda.
I got some small money in 2020 and he decided to help me build my first ever website. The main thing that helped me was commitment and over pushing, I never gave up.
In February 2020 during lockdown I think, my website officially came into existence. Let me tell you, by then I had no laptop but only a smartphone and I was in the village with my parents but I was really so passionate about tech and I started writing articles just using my smartphone. My website was monetized in just 2 weeks time.

Few months of writing, I received my first $100 from Google Adsense, it was an amazing experience, something I never thought of and that is how my journey began.

If I tell you I am currently running more than 1 website, will you believe me? It is because I know the power of content creation and blogging.
Much as there is a lot of scammers online, there are also genuine ways to make money online but it takes some commitment and work. Don’t be deceived, everything comes through work, you have to put in something to get something, it can be putting in effort or even some little money.
This is why I am dedicating my 2023 to teaching people to start a sustainable online business just by using their smartphone or a computer.
