Happy 2025! Storytellers Training Soon, Advertising Offer, #MuwadoSADCTour, Top 2024 Stories…

Happy New Year!

With January out of the way, we hope 2025 has kicked off on a great note!

A huge thank you to everyone who has written and shared their stories on our platform in the past year and look forward to even more submissions this year!

Last year, we launched the latest iteration of Muwado showcasing new tools allowing our members to earn in what we believe is a more sustainable way. You can now also take control of your profile and upload your stories yourself.

With these new features, Muwado is well-positioned to serve the best interests of African storytellers, story consumers, and advertisers trying to get a good return on investment for their marketing budget. Reach us at [email protected], or reply to this email for details on our great advertising offers.

Among other things, we toured the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region and connected with talented creatives, storytellers, and cultural innovators from across Southern Africa. You can check out the press coverage we got while in Zambia and Botswana.

2025

This year, we are super excited to share that we have prepared some unique experiences for you. Thanks to support from The African Cultural Fund, we are running a training course for storytellers:

THE MUWADO ART OF COMMERCIAL STORYTELLING WEBINARS

In this training, we will cover several topics and themes with a webinar a week through March and April.

You can register for this training using this form: https://forms.gle/oM4Jngx6DjEXoPgU7

The training will shortly be followed by a writing competition where we shall put your creative skills to the test, and reward the best submissions. Look out for the announcement for that around April.

Platform Upgrades

We do care about your experience on our platform and will be making some upgrades to improve user experience. To this end, we encourage you to reply to this email with your feedback on what we can do to make the site better and improve your experience.
