A Provocative Theatrical Play: ‘EDDUNGU LYA MUSA’

EDDUNGU LYA MUSA (translated as Moses’ Desert) is a dramedy that dares to dig beneath the surface of everyday life, confronting audiences with questions about choice, temptation, and the human condition.

The play draws on symbolic storytelling to explore how people from all walks of life; civilians, royals, politicians, and religious leaders, face temptation. Yet, the way they respond is deeply shaped by their status, background, and personal struggles.

But here lies the magic: What is the desert? Who is Moses? What are the temptations? The answers aren’t handed to you, they’re woven into a layered narrative that invites interpretation long after the curtain falls.

This provocative production comes from the talented ensemble that won last year’s Theatre & Performing Arts Festival, organised by Mariam Ndagire. With their sharp performances and fearless storytelling, they promise an experience that is as entertaining as it is thought-provoking.
