Photography has always been more than just pressing a shutter for me but rather it’s my way of telling stories, freezing time, and giving ordinary moments a deeper meaning. What began as curiosity soon grew into a passion, and today, my lens has become both my voice and my vision. I started out as a solo amateur photographer, learning through trial, error, and endless practice. With no formal training, I relied on patience, persistence, and the streets as my classroom. Over time, I developed a love for capturing life in its raw and authentic form. Cars and automobiles became my first love in photography, their sleek lines and powerful presence teaching me how to balance detail and style. Street photography soon followed a genre that allowed me to document the heartbeat of everyday life, from crowded taxi parks to the silent stories hidden in busy junctions. As I grew, I branched into product and event photography. Each project taught me adaptability, how to find light in unpredictable conditions, how to frame chaos into beauty, and how to translate moments into memories people can hold on to. Portraiture has not been my strongest suit yet, but it is a skill I aspire to refine in the future as part of my growth. My journey has not been without challenges. Limited resources, self-doubt, and the pressure of comparison often stood in my way. But through every struggle, I found strength in the simple act of creating. Every photograph I take is proof that passion can overcome limitations. Looking ahead, I see photography as more than a personal journey for it is my contribution to history, culture, and community. Whether documenting celebrations, struggles, or the unnoticed details of daily life, I want my work to inspire, to move, and to leave a mark. This is not just my journey. This is the story of a photographer still learning, still chasing light, and still determined to show the world through his own frame. I’ve listed some shots I took during the Unpublished Africa, Muwado, and Global Shapers Kampala Hub-organised Kampala Photo Walk organized on Sunday, September 21st, 2025.
