Failure

I have failed.

It’s not just that I feel that I have failed.

I have actually failed.

I was incompetent.

It wasn’t just a mistake either.

It was neglect.

It was laziness.

It was arrogance.

Consequences.

Repercussions.

Penalties.

I have to look them dead in the eyes.

I have to accept my faults.

I have to accept my responsibility.

I cannot further disgrace myself with cowardice,

No.

This isn’t the time for that.

Fear

Terror

Disdain

Pain

That is what I truly feel.

Courage.

Remorse.

Accountability.

Introspection.

Correction.

Repentance.

That is what I truly need.
