FUN FACT;

Lake Mutanda was formed after the damming of the Rutushuru River by the lava flow from the Virunga volcanoes, nevertheless, there are several inhabited and uninhabited islands on the lake that add to its breath sweeping scenery making it one of Uganda’s most picturesque lakes.

The Virunga Epic is an experience to yearn for, you ought to book your slot 😉

HISTORY FACT;

The Nilotics are an ethnicity originally inhabiting the Nile Valley and are currently settled in South Sudan (Dinka, Nuer, Datooga etc), Eastern and North eastern Uganda (iteso and Karimojong) to mention a few. Nilotes each have their own unique cultural heritage ranging from dressing, traditional norms and practices.

The Nilotes connection is the perfect place to enrich your ethnic knowledge.

EWAFFE EXPERIENCE;

The Ewaffe cultural village located on Kayunga road, Naggalama-Mukono district depicts the feel of Uganda’s cultural heritage as a whole, all the threads and roots that define one’s ethnicity in one place. Food tourism, pottery, cooking courses and most importantly, story telling. (Who wouldn’t want to hear a great folk story!)

Every minute spent in the vicinity is worth the African clock.

AN OLD BROOM SWEEPS…

Are you an old school fanatic; the belly bottom drip or even the funky tunes that get everyone jigging. Well, if you’re a major fan of the latter then Tapas should be your favorite go to spot for that uptown funk accompanied with tasty delicacies that keep your taste buds wishing for more.

POP-UP

One of the benefits of pop-ups is that you get the chance to purchase “one of a kind” merchandise that doesn’t get a footing on international markets. In addition, you’re graced with the opportunity to interact with small scale manufacturers and distributors.

The A-Fu-ri-ka pop up store is a great start for first timers.
