Hello Emmanuel,
Thank you so much for your feedback. Indeed, it is this process of reclaiming our place in history that will enable us to deal with some of the inequality and inequity challenges we face today. I am looking forward to your paper!
Hello Vijay,
Apologies for this late response. Thank you for the feedback. I will read your piece and revert in the coming week.
Hi Batirah,
Indeed, it is the sad reality of our times that (as someone has put it), we buy things we do not need, do things that don’t benefit us, say things we do not mean, to please people that do not even care about us. The sooner we start fining our true north, the better.
Hi Roland,
I did not claim that monogamy is the only right way of doing things (although I certainly believe it is the best way). I only said Christianity teaches that it is God’s intended way. That there are incidences of polygamy in the bible is not necessarily indicative of it being God’s preferred way (there are incidences of slavery, incest and genocides too. We do not infer from that, that this is God’s intended way of things). I know it is possible for people to be happily involved in polygamous relationships. But I for one find it irreconcilable to the the core principles and teachings of the bible. That said, “all truth is God’s truth” and I would be happy to hear from you or others, your own reflections on this or other issues.
